I am delighted to welcome you to our website, which I hope will give you an insight into the development of this hugely exciting project and what you should expect when Trinity Academy Brighouse opens.

Trinity Multi-Academy Trust has progressed to the ‘pre-opening’ stage of our Free School application. Prior to this, we had to submit a lengthy application to the Department for Education (DfE), followed by an interview. Success at those gateposts has led us here today - about to take a significant step towards welcoming 150 Year 7 students through the doors of our brand new school in September 2023. As if that was not exciting enough, the DfE’s endorsement of a science and maths focus was the icing on the cake. As a passionate scientist myself, I am extremely grateful to have the chance to ignite this spark in the next generation of students.

Among the many decisions we have had to make is for our school colours. With STEM at the heart of Trinity Academy Brighouse, we have opted for a colour palette that mirrors the emission spectrum for oxygen – the element that is fundamental to life. This commitment to ensuring that science and maths is key to our provision is only a flavour of what is to come.
